The first painting in my North Carolina Waterfalls & Gemstones Collection. This waterfall spoke to me of smoky quartz, abundant in these mountains, and hiddenite, a spring green/yellow crystal found only in North Carolina. I thought it was a perfect match.
The first time I ever saw Upper Catawba Falls, I knew I wanted to paint it. If you’ve ever been to this magical place, you know that it's quite a hike to get up here, but the waterfall, and the swimming hole, are totally worth it.
